Work vs Job

Rajesh (lifebeyondcode) in his post seems disappointed with the phrase “where do you work?” I was trying to post a comment there but it doesn’t seem to accept what I type in HIP (verification) text and hence this post. Anyways, in my mind, work is what you enjoy doing and the other side is job? At least as per what I hear during my bus commute, people saying – “I hate my job” but I haven’t heard such with respect to literal work. May be this is just my observation At the same time, I am a bit confused when the same kind of people say “good job” when their kids do fantastic things or even while the kids are playing around. Some things are just synonymous and could mean anything, I guess
