Better way to search own blog to link back?

Filed under: Blogging — ramsblog @ 5:29 am

I have noticed many blog posts that are linked back as far as few years on their own blog. I am wondering how one would remember the post they made few months/years ago and be able to link back. One of the examples I noticed recently where Alex had linked from his recent post to his blog 2 to 4 years ago. I have noticed Anita linking to her own blog post that she had posted few years ago. Is there an easy way to search and be able to link back? Just recently, I wanted to link my own post from few months ago when I was drafting something. I felt it was hard to search back and just left it not linked. 🙂

  1. If I know I’ve written about something before, I’ll usually search for that word on my site via google advanced search and limit it to my domain.

Also, I have an archive page that lists all entries, so if I remember about when I might have written on a topic, I can often find the exact entry that way. But google would also find entries from my journal as well as my weblog, so that’s usually what I’ll do first.
