Tip to overcome stage fear…

Received this in an email recently…

“It doesn’t matter whether I’m talking to two people, 10 people, or thousands of people, I think as if I’m talking to just one person.”
                        — Carly Fiorina, Former CEO HP

Tips to Minimize Fear:

  • Know the role and reason for the presentation
  • Get to know the audience – arrive early and meet with them personally
  • Have the beginning and ending well rehearsed
  • Establish and maintain eye contact with members of the audience – make the presentation a conversation.

  1. We learnt something very similar in the Personality Development workshop sometime back.

A good command over the subject we are presenting goes a long way in building confidence.

And it does help to know earlier what sort of audience is being addressed, whether the presentation should be formal or casual etc.

    Good tips.
